Adding Your First Property

A detailed walkthrough for creating your first property and setting it up for AI renovation renders.

What You'll Learn

  • Adding a property with address
  • Uploading property photos
  • Adding rooms to your property
  • Preparing for AI renovations

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Navigate to Properties

Click on "Properties" in the left sidebar to access your properties list. If this is your first time, you'll see an empty state with a prompt to add your first property.

2

Click "Add Property"

Click the "Add Property" button in the top right corner. This opens the property creation form.

3

Enter Property Address

Start typing the property address. We use Google Places autocomplete to help you find the exact location. Select from the suggestions to auto-fill the address fields.

The address will be used to display the property on a map in the detail view.
4

Upload a Cover Photo

Drag and drop or click to upload a cover photo for your property. This image will be displayed as the property thumbnail in your list and on the dashboard.

Use a high-quality exterior shot for best results. Recommended size: 1200x800 pixels or larger.
5

Save the Property

Click "Create Property" to save. You'll be redirected to the property detail page where you can start adding rooms.

Adding Rooms

Once your property is created, you can add rooms. Each room can have:

  • A name and room type (e.g., Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom)
  • Room dimensions (helps AI scale furniture realistically)
  • An original photo showing the current state
  • Multiple AI-generated renovation renders

To add a room, click the "Add Room" button, enter details, and upload a photo. The AI will automatically clean the image (removing furniture) to prepare it for renovation.

AI Cleaning Process

1
Automatic Clean (1 credit)Removes furniture and clutter to create a blank canvas. Tip: Providing room dimensions helps AI scale everything correctly.
2
Refine (Free)If needed, use the brush tool to help the AI identify missed objects.

💡 How renovations work: Properties contain rooms with original photos, but AI renovation renders are generated within Projects. Each project links one client to one property, so the same property can have different "final" renders for different client engagements. Learn more in the Projects guide.
